Indian Navy invites online application for Artificer Aprientice and Senior Secondary
Recruit (SSR) twice in a year. For both posts common notification is issued, single
form is submmited and common exam is conducted. The notifications comes in the month
of June and December. The exam for June notifcation held in August month and for
December notification held in March month.
ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA:
Date of Birth:
Artificer Apprentice: A candidate must not below 16.5 and must not be above
20 Years.
Senior Secondary Recruit: A candidate must not below 16.5 and must not be
above 21 Years.
Educational Qualification:
Artificer Apprentice: Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate
with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:-Chemistry/Biology/Computer
Science.
Senior Secondary Recruit: Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and
at least one of these subjects:-Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The selection criteria are divided into the following stages:
Computer-based Examination
Qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and
Medical Examination

The Navy reserves the right to determine the pass marks in each Section and in aggregate.The
candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.The standard of
the question paper will be that of 10+2 level.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
The PFT will be of qualifying nature but it is mandatory for selection.

10 Push-ups
